Kovilpatti Lakshmi Q3 net profit down 53.42% at Rs 1.70 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 1.70 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 as compared to Rs 3.65 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 53.42 per cent.
Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 34.94 per cent at Rs 103.63 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 159.28 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 34.47 per cent to Rs 97.57 crore from Rs 148.90 crore in year ago period.
Other Income dipped by 51.43 per cent at Rs 0.34 crore versus (Dec'22 Rs 0.70 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 41.52 per cent to Rs 6.07 crore as against Rs 10.38 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 10.14 per cent in December quarter.
Interest declined by 16.85 per cent y-o-y to Rs 2.32 crore, while Taxation decreased by 63.90 per cent at Rs 0.74 crore (Dec'22 Rs 2.05 crore).
